Gaming Input & Display Preflight

Check the browser-visible input path and display timing you plan to use, then confirm game-specific behavior inside the actual game.

  • Choose keyboard, mouse, or controller paths
  • Browser timing is not game performance
  • Finish in the actual game
Outcome
A local record of the keyboard, mouse, controller, and browser display-timing observations you choose to make.
Boundary
This cannot prove game FPS, CPU or GPU performance, end-to-end latency, raw USB polling, Steam Input behavior, game-specific mapping or dead zones, network latency, VRR operation, or audio routing inside a game.

Browser evidence first, actual-game confirmation last

Before you launch the game

Check the input path you plan to use, confirm browser-observed display cadence, and then open the actual game for every game-specific setting and behavior. Unused keyboard, mouse, or controller paths can be marked Skipped.

Choose the path you actually use

Keyboard-and-mouse players can check key registration, buttons, wheel, and pointer events. Controller players can check Gamepad API mapping and hands-off stick behavior. You do not need to manufacture evidence for an input path you will not use.

What this preflight can check

DeviceMetrik can expose browser key and mouse events, Gamepad API buttons, axes, and triggers, hands-off stick samples, browser-observed refresh cadence, and browser animation frame pacing. Each result stays tied to the specialist test that produced it.

Browser FPS is not game FPS

The FPS Test measures completed frames and long frames in its own browser workload. It is not a game or GPU benchmark and cannot predict FPS in Valorant, Fortnite, Cyberpunk, or another game.

Finish inside the actual game

Confirm the intended bindings or controller layout, game-specific dead zones, display mode, refresh selection, actual in-game FPS and frame cap, VSync or VRR behavior, audio device, and online connection in the game itself. The browser cannot make those observations for you.
