Browser-local testing

• Current tools do not require an account.
• Test interaction is processed in the browser.
• Raw keyboard, pointer, controller, microphone, or camera test input is not automatically uploaded by DeviceMetrik test code.

Normal page and asset requests still reach hosting infrastructure; this does not mean raw device-test input or media is uploaded by the test code.

Local storage

DeviceMetrik may store these values locally in the current browser and device:

• User settings
• Recently used tools
• Some tool-specific history
• Local best or result values where a tool uses them

Local storage is tied to this browser and device. Clearing browser site data removes these local values; they are not cloud-synced to an account.

Microphone and camera permissions

• Access is not requested automatically.
• Browser permission is required before a media-dependent test can use a stream.
• Relevant streams are handled by the browser test.
• DeviceMetrik test code does not automatically upload raw microphone audio or camera frames.

Analytics and ordinary web requests

DeviceMetrik does not currently include a product analytics SDK in this release. Normal page and asset requests necessarily reach hosting infrastructure and may produce ordinary request or server logs; this is separate from raw device-test inputs and media.
